FAQ #41: Site UpdatesQuestion: Are you still in business? When was the last time you updated your website?Answer: Yes, I am still in business. And, the last time I updated? What day of the week is this? But seriously, I update this site and my software frequently. In May of 2006, I completely rewrote my distribution software. With that rewrite, many great things were achieved. Most of those new features will not be publicly discussed until which time I have converted all previously distributed articles into the new format. Prior to May of 2006, I had hard-coded all articles into my website. Now, I am databasing all new articles. Once I finish migrating the first 2700 hard-coded articles to the database, then I will begin to discuss all of the new features openly. My decision on this is a matter of consistency. I do not want to point to all of the new features until which time all articles in my directory can meet the new expectations. When you find an article that has /db/ in the url, then you are looking at our new article display format. Click this link to view a sample. This display of the articles is what awaits all of the articles on my website. I have hired an assistant to help me migrate all of the previous 2700 articles from hard-coding to the database format. With help, I can complete the task much sooner. With the conversion to the new software, I have significantly expanded my ability to reach websites. I now reach: I do not try to force-feed any content to any website. Each webmaster still retains full editorial control over what may or may not appear on their website. I place content in their website, but that content will not be made public until which time the site's owner approves the post. I am adding new websites to my distribution rotation every week. Just this week, I was able to add three well-respected websites to my reach, and more are being added every week.
