TESTIMONIAL:
Bill, your service is fantastic as it helped me gain good exposure for one of my websites. I gained so many links from my article that it actually helped me get an indexing in Google! I'll now be using your services as part of my marketing efforts. I highly recommened your article distribution service.
Q. If you do not send attachments, or accept them, how do I submit my article?
A.
I do accept attachments from my clients. All submissions are made to me from my clients through special email addresses. On those addresses, all attachments are accepted.
Additionally, I do occasionally send attachments. Occasionally, I am asked to edit an article for one of my clients. In those cases, my client knows that I am doing an edit for them and that I will send the document back to them as an attachment.
In every case that I do send out an attachment, the attachment is planned and expected by my client.
If you are NOT EXPECTING an attachment from me, and you do receive an attachment, DO NOT open the attachment!
The fact is that there are a few rogue viruses running amok on the web sending out emails --- between people known to one another --- with a virus payload attached. All that is required from the virus programmer is to get their software installed on one machine that has an address book. The rest is easy. The virus is forwarded to people in the address book and the internet browser cache, and in most cases, the receiver of the virus payload knows the sender. This is how the viruses manage to transfer between machines.
I know that someone's computer is sending email with a virus payload, and the email appears as if it is coming from my domain. I also know that my systems are clean, courtesy of TrendMicro. I know that this is so, because I get the bounce backs from various servers telling me that A> my email to an unknown email address was Carrying a virus payload, or B> the email addressed in the message does not exist.
I share this information with you as a head's up. If you are not expecting an attachment from me, do not open any attachments in emails that appear to be coming from my server.
