Question: Why is it that, when I try to do a search on your site, I am taken to a Google search page?
Answer: When I started this site, I had used an internal search engine. However, this engine was less than ideal --- I always hated it, but felt it would do until a better solution came along.
Soon, I found that I had to add a sitemap just to keep up with the growth of the site. But eventually, this too became problematic. I had so many new people signing up for the program at one point, and so much work to do, that I had just totally lost control of keeping the sitemap up-to-date.
We are in the process of upgrading the site and moving to a database driven format. With the new format, all search results will be drawn from the database itself.
So, to enable our searchers to find what they have actually come for, I made the decision to utilize the Google search engine to provide search results for thePhantomWriters.com . Google provides the most complete and up-to-date search results for our users, so I am confident that with their twice weekly spidering of our site that our users will appreciate the Google search tool here until our new database is completed.
