The Art of Miami by Lynda Belcher |
|
|
The art scene in Miami is always full of creative
enterprise, with art openings occurring regularly and some
of the most well known artists (of all types) choosing to
display their work here. Moreover, the art scene includes a
diverse grouping of performing arts venues as well as
museums, music halls and much more. |

Hot Miami Sound by Lynda Belcher |
|
|
Because Miami is such a virtual melting pot of ethnicities
and various cultures, it's no wonder that it's all
manifested in the music. There few other places in the
country, or the world, that can boast the number of
different musical sounds that Miami contains in one city. |

Weezy is America's Most Wanted by Lynda Belcher |
|
|
I can remember when I first heard Lil Wayne spit. He was still
with Cash Money then and he was rapping on a song with Juvenile
and B.G. I remember thinking at the time that his voice was so
unique and his flow so different that he was probably going to be
the only one out of all three of the rappers on that track to
last, yet he was the most low-profile and only had like four or
five lines in the song. Now, almost ten years later, I have
sooooo been proven right. |

Lady Gaga and Kanye West To Tour by Lynda Belcher |
|
|
There are two things wrong with a tour featuring Lady Gaga and
Kanye West. To start, let me just say that I think both people
are two of the most talented voices in music today. They are both
innovative and daring with their music. They are both
trendsetting fashion gurus that are always wearing something no
one else has even though to put together. They are both pretty
easy on the eyes, in their own funky way. And they both have egos
the size of the Pacific Ocean. |

Nationwide Audiences Revel In Wicked Fun During Wicked: The Musical by Lynda Belcher |
|
|
In my opinion, the best stories are those that are about the
"other guy." You know, the one who would never normally get the
spotlight or have his story told if it were not for the main
story line of a TV show, book or movie. Some people might refer
to this character as the underdog, but this is not always an
accurate assessment. |

Pitching Hot Stuff Derek Lowe by Lynda Belcher |
|
|
As a bonafide Atlanta Braves fan, let me just say that I don't
easily excite over specific players. The whole game is so diluted
with the comings and goings of various players, it's hard
sometimes to keep up with who is on what team this season. I
mean, you know the drill... |
