'Crocodile Hunter' Dies Monday ( 4 Sept 2006 ) in the Hands of a Stingray by Joseph Martin |

Steve Irwin passed away on September 4th, 2006, after he was
stung by a stingray. Crewmembers of Irwin's boat, Croc One,
called emergency services, Irwin was given CPR and sent by rescue
helicopter to Cairns, the nearby city. He was pronounced dead
shortly thereafter, Stainton said. His death moved many people to
action seeking to send their condolences to the Irwin family. |
