5 Tips for Using E-Cards During the Holidays

Copyright (c) 2009-2023

E-cards aren’t what they used to be. In the past all you could do was pick a template, add a message and send. Now you can do amazing things with e-cards, online scrapbooks and slideshows. Here are 5 tips for using e-cards with a creative spin during the holidays.

1. Create a family greeting with a new twist. Share photos and a video too. Make a quick video that represents your family personality. Choose your props and a setting for the video - the comedic Phillips family don their matching Santa Hats and the sentimental Hermann family sits in front of the fire. Sharing a video message is sure to be memorable and bring a smile to all who watch.

2. Wish your teacher a Happy Holiday. Bring those back-to-school and fieldtrip photos back to life. Have your child send a special message of appreciation and Holiday Wishes with some favorite classroom photos.

3. Get the party started with an online Holiday Party Invite. Set the festive mood for your event with jolly photos, classic carols and more. From intimate dinner parties to big blowout bashes, a customized holiday slideshow or ecard will have everyone looking forward to the event.

4. Show your manners with a Thank You e-card. Each year you take pictures of the kids ripping into their gifts and now you can share them with the gift giver! Who wouldn’t love to receive a card, scrapbook, or slideshow of thanks accompanied with a photo showing the toothless grin of a child opening their gift?

5. Bring the camera in the kitchen and share a favorite recipe. This year capture the kids baking and decorating Christmas cookies and share the recipe with friends and family. Have a favorite family recipe? Keep it alive by sharing it with all the new members of your family.

Whatever you choose to do with e-cards this holiday season, remember to be yourself. Tailor your e-cards to your personality, and let others in on a special part of your life. Happy Holidays!
