The Heart of The Matter - The Most Sought After Frontier - And If It Isn't, Shouldn't It Be? Episode #2 -Feelings -The Big Cover-Up!
Copyright (c) 2007-2023 Bronwyn NobleStar
Did you start your day with LOVE or HATE? By asking this underlying question the quality of your life can be improved!
Do you always recognize that what you experience is based on feelings? Does it really matter?
You bet! Generally, the ego does such a good job of covering up, burying or hiding your feelings that you may have forgotten the way to The Heart of The Matter - your emotions...your feelings!
Since the dawn of creation there have been invisible forces at work in the universe. One is gravity. Another is emotion, which can be spelled E-motion, with the E representing energy. This is why we can say emotions are 'Energy In Motion'! Assuming that emotions are 'Energy In Motion', where would you locate them?
Why, within you, of course! To arrive at this conclusion, all you need to do is observe the wide range of behaviors of people. If there are no apparent external factors causing an individual's behaviors to switch from calm, serene and happy to violent, hostile and aggressive, then can you not conclude that something is happening within the person to trigger the outward behavioral change?
Nature operates in a precise orderly fashion, which is evident when all the data is collected. People, however, have imposed upon nature and themselves a program, which to them appears orderly and efficient for producing the results they want. But, in the process, their efforts may be creating situations which might cause disharmony within them and the creation, while unwittingly setting up a box that traps them on a feeling level with the resulting effect of producing inner pressure and stress.
For example...have you ever noticed how feelings seem to pop up at the most inconvenient times, creating anger and chaos within?
Let's say you have a certain direction or plan you wish to carry out when you find yourself suddenly interrupted by a phone call. This causes you to drop everything and run to deal with it
Or, maybe you are expecting company in a few minutes and you burn the food. Do you react in anger and start yelling and shouting? Do you cry? Or do you put on a happy face, pretend everything is O.K. and carry on?
What about this one?
You're late for work and someone cuts you off; then proceeds to drive at a snail's pace while blocking you from passing them. Inside are you fuming because your desire to speed and arrive at work on time has been thwarted?
Everyday, life is filled with 'things happening'.
Do life's events create problems for you because you reacted from a feeling level? And are you aware of how this particular situation is building pressure inside you, especially when this new feeling is now added to the original one?
The scenario within us develops similar to this pond analogy.
Imagine a calm, serene pond into which a pebble is tossed. Immediately, ripples begin to appear on the water and start to flow outward across the pond, affecting everything they touch. The surface of the water no longer is still and quiet
Throwing a rock into the water of the pond will follow the same sequence of events as occurred with the pebble, except that the power and intensity of the ripples produced will be intensified in energy and speed.
A boulder dropped into the water will create waves on the surface of the pond. These waves will travel faster and further, because of the greater momentum behind them. Thus, they will rush on and touch everything in their path in a more forceful and sometimes a very unpleasant way.
Your emotions operate in the same manner. They become more intensified, exaggerated and entrenched within you, creating the same ripple and wave effect, until they bubble up or explode out of you, producing behaviors that seem to have no outward rhyme or reason.
At times the emotional charge within can be so quiet as to be hardly noticeable and your actions will reflect this. At other moments the emotional energy is as strong as a tempest in a teapot.
In all these instances you make a choice as to how we deal with them, even if it not on a conscious level. You can choose to ride them out until they die down or die out or you can do what you've done all your life, shut them down, bury them and pretend they don't exist.
Emotions or feelings are a very powerful, invisible force within you that needs to be reckoned with. They can and do affect every day of your life for better or for worse.
Will you be one of the undaunted souls who choose to go beyond the bounds of your daily life? Will you take the step to walk through the door that leads to The Most Sought After Frontier - The Heart of The Matter - YOUR Feelings?
