Transform Any Room with Stained Glass Panels
Copyright (c) 2009-2023 Beth Mark
You can find a stained glass panel for any room in your home. No matter what kind of decorating style or theme you have, there are beautiful stained glass designs to go with it. Hanging any of these panels in a window or somewhere that light will shine through them will create a wonderful effect in any space.
In the kitchen, it can create a wonderful custom effect if you get small stained glass panels mounted in cabinet doors. Getting glass-front cabinets has been popular for awhile, but adding a stained glass panel that matches the rest of your kitchen will add an even nicer touch. Some panels that seem to always be popular are pictures of chefs and fruit. Other pictures can be of chili peppers or grapes, or have a café theme to them. It all depends on what kind of kitchen you have.
For children there are themes like sports, animals, and ballerinas. Just like any other type of stained glass, there are a variety of subjects and pictures for kids of all ages. Noah's ark, teddy bears, and trains are common for nursery stained glass. This can give small children mental stimulation seeing the light coming through the picture, and provides them with a keepsake that they can treasure and pass on to their kids.
There are also stained glass panels that have pictures of things people are interested in. Animals are a common subject, especially cats and dogs. Birds and horses are also popular along with more exotic animals such as peacocks and fish. Some sports such as equestrian jumping, golfing, and skiing are also commonly depicted in stained glass.
Just about any common interest can be found in a stained glass panel. Often finding your favorite pastime is just a matter of knowing where to look.
If you are looking to get a stained glass panel to hang in a front window or near you entryway, there are many that have beautiful designs with the word "Welcome" on them. Some will say "Welcome Friends" or have other sentiments such as "Bless this House." If you have a specific heritage, you can get welcomes in different languages as well. Flowers or birds commonly surround the words.
For a country home there are stained glass panels that have things like roosters, tractors, and sunflowers. These are a lovely way to show how much you enjoy the rural life. If you live in the middle of the city, these same panels are a great way to bring a little of the country into your home.
The same goes for panels with other locations on them. Lighthouses and seashells bring the ocean into your home so you can enjoy its splendor no matter where you live. Panels with vivid sunsets, cacti, or cowboys give you a taste of the high desert.
Some of the magic of stained glass panels is their ability to give you a window to the things you love, but perhaps are not available to you all the time. They can also be a great reminder of good times and even better memories.
While people will generally buy pre-made stained glass panels that can be found in stores and online, some will want something custom made. Panels with the family's name can be made, although these are more expensive than generic panels.
When you get your stained glass panel, remember to buy what you need to hang it up with. If you want it to hand in a window, you will need a chain and proper anchors. These will ensure that it does not fall. Most stores where you can buy these panels will have hanging kits that you can purchase as well. Generally you will be able to choose the color of chain to fit your needs, whether it is black, silver, or brass.
Take a look around and you will find the perfect stained glass panel for your home. If you know what you are looking for, it will probably not take you long to find something that is at least very close to what you were picturing. If you aren't sure what you want, browsing around is likely to provide you with some great ideas. Once you find the right one, you are sure to love your stained glass panel for years.

needs to have a rug work with the existing flooring, the
