Ladies - Start Your Sales Engines!
Copyright (c) 2007-2012 Kim Duke
OK - a little Diva confession here!
Something you may not know about me is I LOVE heights and going realllllllly fast. (and I have the occasional speeding ticket to prove it)
This Sales Diva has sky-dived (and shook from adrenaline for 3 days after!), travelled at Mach Speed in an Olympic bobsled, rode roller coasters for 6 hours straight, and I looooove Harley Davidson motorcycles.
My goal in the next few years (I'll keep you posted!) is to get my pilot's license -as I spent so many hours as a child flying in a little 2-seater airplane with my dad.
How does all this relate to selling?
You've got to be willing to put yourself out there and put POWERFUL SURGES of energy into your business if you want to experience the THRILL of SUCCESS.
It's Time For You To REV UP Your Sales Engine!
Listen. Are you serious about getting your business to the level you want?
Then you need to give it the energy and attention it deserves.
And one of the best times of the year to RAMP THINGS UP - is RIGHT NOW!
I am a firm believer in creating momentum but MOMENTUM is created by an initial force of energy and intent that is created CONSISTENTLY.
And that means YOU HAVE TO GET CRACKING!
Let's just pretend I am your Sales Diva Sales Manager and I have given you a list of 5 high-octane activities to do within the next 30 days.
Are You Up For The Diva Challenge?
4 High-Octane Fuels To Get Your Sales Engine Running:
1. Cheap Fuel Gets Cheap Results. You can't put regular gasoline into a high performance engine and expect high performance results. Your business is the same way! Are your marketing materials, website, ezine, proposals at the HIGH PERFORMANCE level or do they look like a high school kid did them?
2. Have Planned "Fuel Ups!" Are you running on empty? Then it is time to get a mentor, hire a coach, get professional development, read a business book a week and get your brain fired up with new ideas that will take your business where it needs to go. One of the biggest mistakes made in selling is not providing TIME AND MONEY FOR GROWTH.
3. Keep In Touch With The Fans! Drag out your files and review who drove your business last year. Where are the areas that can provide the most revenue growth for you? Contact ALL of your Top 10-20% customers and book meetings with them in the next 30 days.
4. Quit Spinning Your Wheels Lady! You want results? Then you have to devote yourself to getting them. That means following up with your customers, being innovative, investing money in yourself and dropping the whining once and for all.
Let's Burn Some Rubber!
Aren't you ready to heat up your tires and get things moving in your sales?
Because realllllllly - the same old excuses are probably starting to BORE even you by now!
I Diva-Dare you to get your ACT TOGETHER and have the BEST YEAR EVER!
Why?
Because I absolutely know that you can. So there.

One of the lessons my dad taught me about flying is that an
airplane uses almost 60% of its fuel for take-off. Just
those few minutes of going down the run-way and lifting up
into the air uses the most energy. But once the plane is
air-borne it is able to use minimal fuel to successfully
stay in the air.

absolutely worthless. When confronted with such an absolute
statement, I like to press for details. It has been my
experience that people who speak in negative absolutes will
have a horror story to share.
