    Uses for Wind Chimes

What are wind chimes for? To make noise you say? Not so fast!

    For use in Feng Shui

For Feng Shui purposes, it is preferred to select wind chimes
made of hollow tubes. This enhances the influence of Chi. There
are many options for placing wind chimes around the home. You can
place them by a door or window to take advantage of an afternoon
breeze. You can also place them in relatively darker sections of
the home to enhance the Chi. You can even specifically select the
wind chimes for the element it represents i.e., tubes or clackers
of metal, wood, or earth (clay), and place them strategically at
    certain locations.

    Protecting Vulnerable Garden Areas

People frequently encourage wildlife to visit and live in their
gardens. This is very natural, and helps keep us in tune with
Mother Nature. Living in harmony with nature is the surest
path to peace in your own lives. However, there will always be
occasions and/or parts of the garden where we do not welcome
the incursion of wild animals looking for a meal. For instance,
when planting young seedlings, or when a crop of edible plants
is getting close to harvest time. So we have to strike a balance
between encouraging wildlife to visit as well as discouraging
them at other times or from certain particular places. A safe
and sane way to help discourage wildlife from entering certain
areas is the use of wind chimes. Choose brushed aluminum or
other tarnish-resistant, bright, shiny chimes. The flash of
the sun off the wind chimes, and the sound can help protect
vulnerable crops and areas of the garden.

Blocking the unwanted noises of daily life

The right set of wind chimes let you use the breeze like a
stereo. A row of bamboo tubes, a copper wind bell or a swirl of
bright brushed aluminum tubes can sound amazingly melodic. When
the breeze begins, relax and enjoy. Wind chimes have matured
from simple garden accessories that used to be a collection of
glass or metal tied to a top piece, and the result usually was
a mess. Nowadays, they are musically tuned, delicate reflections
of the best in natures natural audio. Our daily lives are marred
by daily incursions of images, scents, and sounds. Wind chimes
give our ears something to concentrate on, both consciously and
unconsciously, helping to block distant and unwanted sounds.
For example, a school in the distance, nearby freeway, or other
traffic noise. Choose the wind chime carefully, make sure you
hear the level of sound your chime makes, and measure it against
the backdrop you’re trying to mask. You’ll find it a pleasant way
to bring a curtain of sound between yourself and the day-to-day
    world.

Wind Chimes Help the Garden Sing! - Great Gifts - Made-In-The-USA
The soothing, melodic tones of properly tuned wind chimes brings
a statement of graceful ambiance to any backyard or patio. They
are often the missing element in the garden, adding a soundtrack
that enhances the beauty of the surroundings. Wind chimes please
the sense of sound, like beautiful flowers satisfy the sense of
sight, and the fragrances of trees, herbs, and shrubs satisfy
    the sense of smell. http://www.wind-chimes-free-shipping.com/
