Make a Bet on James Bond
Copyright 2004, Paul Kyriazi
If you're not interested in Bond you won't care if he wins or
loses.
Horse races are no fun unless you make a bet. No point in
watching the horses run if you can't cheer for your favorite.
Movie producers know this. That's why they pay big sums to
popular actors so that the audience will have a hero (an
investment) to cheer for.
Life is more exciting if you have a bet on something you can
watch daily. No, not casino gambling. Not the lottery. That's
just playing for fun on a budget. Have a bet on a piece of
gold, or a hundred shares of some stock. Or better still, bet
on yourself.
Bet on yourself to go to that place you always wanted to go
to. To get that degree, to write that book, to get that new
apartment, get that new job.
If you don't bet on yourself, you'll never be your favorite
character in the movie of life. You'll have to let Bond be
your favorite. But why place all your money on Bond. Place
some of it on yourself. Sure there's risk of failure. But if
you win.........that beats saving the gold in Fort Knox from
Goldfinger. You'll be a bigger hero to yourself than Bond is
for you.
Then go to the next Bond movie with a big smile on your face.
